Scrambler pistol is my favorite. SMG feels a bit too much like pray and spray for me.
But the gun ? well used it's a real *****. Especially with the new skill operation that adds 1 ammo per clip per level. Two levels and you have 8 ammo firing something like 80 to a hundred damage.
Killed a lot of people with it and my swarm launcher.
Also, playing AV is kinda supposed to make you string against vehicles and weaker against infantry... If there's no team play, maybe you should get a team |

My advice would be, play AV when needed. As in, supply depots are maybe the most valuable assets in the game, way as usefull as CRU imo. Allows you to just draw AV fit when needed and go back to a more versatile fit quickly.
Shame most ambush maps dont have even one of those depot |

lurking around the supply depot with an LAV ready to go is often a good move ^^ Especially when they will take off the AV\mine Nades. |

I've killed as many as I've died to while running SMG on all chars, including a pure scout-suit build.
Yes, they have no range, that's not what they're there for. They're there to lure enemies around corners or sneak up on them and be able to unload into their face from 8m and closer. A scout with only militia suit and gun has dropped a number of lvl 2 AR assaults just by knowing the battlefield and obstructions and using them to draw the enemy closer. While it can still be a close duel if the opponent is pristine with his shots the SMG will generally come out on top because at that range you're hitting with everything which is 10x the bullet count in half the amount of time.
Think of SMGs more like the rapid-fire pistols from MAG, not like what people are used to them being from so many other games.
I agree. SMG are painfull short range. |
